The petitioner is seeking initiation of the contempt proceedings against the respondent for willful disobedience of the directions of the Supreme Court in the case of Lalita Kumari v. Govt. of U.P. & Ors in W.P.(CRL.) No.68/2008 dated 12.11.2013.

Sh. Ashwani, Inspector, Investigation is present from PS Vivek Vihar and is assisted by Mr. Abhinav Singh, learned standing counsel for the respondent.

In short, the grievance of the petitioner is that although he is a victim as he was brutally assaulted by the accused person and while the FIR has been registered against him, no action has been taken by the police pursuant to his complaint lodged with the Police on 13.10.2024.
