The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 seeking quashing of FIR No. 391/2021 under Sections 506/509/354A IPC registered at Police Station Ranjit Nagar, Delhi along with all other proceedings emanating therefrom on the ground that the parties have arrived at a settlement.

Issue notice. Learned APP appearing on behalf of the State accepts notice.

Likewise, learned counsel for the respondent no. 2 along with respondent nos. 2 and 3 appearing in person also accepts notice. 5.

have arrived at a settlement, the State has no objection in case the aforesaid FIR is quashed.

The petitioner as well as respondent nos. 2 and 3 are present in Court and they have been identified by the I.O/ SI Noor Hasan, Police Station Ranjit Nagar, Delhi.

The present FIR came to be registered at the instance of the respondent no. 2 alleging misbehaviour against the petitioner. 8.

During the pendency of proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement, the terms whereof have been reduced into writing in form of a Memorandum of Settlement agreement dated 13.10.2023, a copy of which is annexed as Annexure-P3 to the present petition. 9.

The respondent no.2, on a query put by the Court, states that she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.

In view of the fact that the parties have arrived at a settlement, no useful purpose will be served in continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them.

It is, thus, in the interest of justice that the present FIR and all the proceedings emanating therefrom be quashed.

Consequently, the petition is allowed and the FIR No. 391/2021 under Sections 506/509/354A IPC registered at Police Station Ranjit Nagar, Delhi alongwith all other proceedings emanating therefrom, is quashed. 13.
