This writ petition has been preferred on behalf of the Petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India compelled by the circumstance that despite retirement of the Petitioner on 31.03.2024, his retiral dues such as pension, gratuity, provident fund, commutation of pension, have not been released.

Accounts Office and thereafter by the CPAO, all retiral benefits shall be released to the Petitioner as expeditiously as possible and not later than two months from today. He also submits that the delay has occurred as the Service Book of the Petitioner was admittedly lost, for which he had himself lodged an FIR. On a query as to whether the Petitioner has completed the required formalities, the Officer submits that all necessary documents have been submitted and formalities have been completed, save and except, a joint photograph with his spouse and a cancelled cheque. 5.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the joint photograph as well as the cancelled cheque will be furnished to the concerned officer within 03 days from today.

This writ petition is accordingly disposed of taking the assurance on behalf of the Respondents on record that the retiral benefits shall be released to the Petitioner within an outer limit of two months from today. Petitioner will furnish the photograph and the cancelled cheque, as aforementioned, within 03 days from today. Needless to state in case of any surviving grievance, it will be open to the Petitioner to seek revival of this writ petition.
