The appellant has challenged the award of the Claims Tribunal whereby compensation of Rs.1,65,000/- has been awarded to respondent No.1.

Respondent No.1 suffered fracture below Acetabulum with closed fracture of (R) with closed facture clow of 4th and 5th finger (R) in the accident dated 22nd January, 2014.

The Claims Tribunal awarded Rs.19,869/- towards medical expenses, Rs.50,000/- towards pain and suffering, Rs.15,000/- towards attendant charges (3 months), Rs.29,406/- towards loss of income during treatment (3 months), Rs.25,000/- towards special diet and Rs.25,000/- for non-pecuniary compensation. The total compensation awarded is Rs.1,64,275/-, rounded off to Rs.1,65,000/-. 3.

Learned counsel for the appellant urged at the time of hearing that the compensation awarded to the respondent No.1 is on a higher side and warrants reduction.

Respondent No.1 is present in Court and her condition has been seen. This Court is satisfied that the compensation awarded by the Claims

Tribunal is just fair and reasonable and does not warrant any interference. 5.

The appeal is, therefore, dismissed.

Pending application is disposed of.
