This writ petition is preferred on behalf of the Petitioner under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:- "i. Pass an order/direction to Respondent Authorities to dispose of the application and grant permission to the Petitioner-Organization to hold religious program (Deepawali and Chhath Parv Festival) in parity with other events already held at Ramleela Maidan Park, Lal Bagh, Azadpur, Delhi from 29.10.2024 to 07.11.2024.

ii. Pass an order/direction to Respondent Authorities to temporarily allow the petitioner-organization to hold Religious Program (Deepawali and Chhath Parv Festival) in Ramleela Maidan Park, Lal Bagh, Azadpur, Delhi from 29.10.2024 to 07.11.2024 till the time application for grant of permission is pending consideration"

Ms. Vasundhara, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Ms. Anshula L. Bakhru, counsel for MCD submits that a bare perusal of the prayers in the writ petition would indicate that the writ petition is rendered infructuous. 3.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner fairly does not dispute this fact and, on instructions, seeks to leave to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to take recourse to legal remedies, in case a fresh cause of action arises. 4.
