By way of the present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of the FIR bearing no. 263/2023, registered at Police Station Shahbad Dairy, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 354/506/509/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC'). 2.

Issue notice. The learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State. 3.

The petitioners and respondent no. 2 (chosen to appear through video conferencing voluntarily, assisted by her counsel) are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned from Police Station Shahbad Dairy, Delhi. 4.

Brief facts of the case are that the petitioners and respondent no. 2 are neighbours. Due to a misunderstanding, respondent no. 2 had filed a complaint against the petitioners, which culminated into the present FIR under the relevant sections. before the concerned Court. It is stated that during pendency of the trial, with the intervention of respectable members of society, the parties have amicably settled their disputes vide Compromise Deed dated 30.07.2025. 5.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2, who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that she has entered into compromise out of her own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 6.

In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 7.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 263/2023, registered at Police Station Shahbad Dairy, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 354/506/509/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to the petitioners depositing cost of Rs.2,000/- each with the Delhi Police Welfare Society, within a period of seven days from date and the compliance report be filed with the Registrar General of this Court.

In view of above, the present petition stands disposed of. 9.
