The present petition under Section 12 read with Section 2(b) of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 and Article 215 of the Constitution of India seeks the following prayers:
"(a) Kindly initiate Contempt proceedings against the Alleged Contemnor for willfully defying the order dated 21.05.2025 passed by this Hon'ble Court in Writ Petition Civil No. 5605 of 2025; and (b) Direct the Alleged Contemnor to forthwith produce before this Hon'ble Court the complete detailed waiting list of candidates for compassionate appointment, including the 15 persons senior to the Contempt Petitioner; and (c) Direct the Alleged Contemnor to disclose on affidavit the reasons, if any, for not considering or making any appointments on The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
compassionate grounds from the year 2006 till date, despite the subsistence of the applicable rules/policies, of Compassionate Appointment ruling 1998 and 2022 and to place on record the steps taken in compliance thereof; and (d) Direct strict action, including imposition of punishment/penalty, against the Alleged Contemnor for their willful disobedience; and (e) Direct the Alleged Contemnor to process the Contempt Petitioner's case for compassionate appointment expeditiously in accordance with law, considering the delay of over a decade; and (f) Pass such further orders as may be deemed just and proper in the interest of justice."

Vide order dated 21.05.2025 in W.P.(C) 5605/2025, the learned Single Judge of this Court passed the following direction: "5. The writ petition is disposed of in terms of the above submissions of respondent No. 2, and with the direction that, within a period of two weeks from today, respondent No. 2 will communicate to the petitioner the status of his application and the waiting list, as it stands."

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vide order dated 24.07.2025, the respondents have informed the petitioner that he is waitlisted at Serial no. 16, however, the waiting list of 15 applicants have not been supplied in terms of aforesaid order.

Learned counsel for the respondent, on advance notice and on instructions, submits that the waiting list of the 15 applicants shall be supplied to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today. 7.
In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition with liberty to revive the same, in case of noncompliance. 8.
Leave and liberty granted.
