The limited relief sought by the petitioners in the present petition is that the complaint dated 11.04.2025 filed by the petitioners under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, be decided expeditiously.

It is submitted that untold hardship is being caused to the petitioners (senior citizens) as a result of the complaint not being adjudicated. 3.

Learned counsel for the respondent/GNCTD, who appears on advance notice, submits that a hearing in the aforesaid complaint shall be scheduled within a period of 15 days from today and an endeavour shall be made to decide the said complaint as expeditiously as possible. 4.

Let the concerned Authority make an endeavour to dispose of the aforesaid complaint within a period of three months from today. Let hearings also be scheduled by the concerned District Magistrate, South-East, accordingly.
