This joint petition is filed under Sections 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the Sole Arbitrator in respect of arbitral proceedings pertaining to Notice Inviting Tender dated 10.12.2007.

It is stated that extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator was extended by this Court vide order dated 23.08.2023 and thereafter again on 05.09.2024 and the extended mandate has expired on 04.09.2025. Final arguments are to commence in the arbitral proceedings. Issue notice.

Mr. Yogendra Handoo, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent and on instructions submits that Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the Sole Arbitrator. 7.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the Sole Arbitrator is extended by a period of 12 months from 08.10.2025 and the period between 05.09.2025 to 07.10.2025 is regularized. 8.

Petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
