O R D E R

The petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 30/2025 dated 10.06.2025, registered under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 ('BNS'), registered at Police Station Cyber North.

The petitioner in the present case claims to be an Astrologer. He was allegedly contacted by the complainant for the purpose of performing certain rituals so as to remove negativity.

It is alleged that for the aforesaid purpose the complainant over the period of time paid certain amounts of money to the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner by profession gives astrologic advice to his clients and also performs rituals.

He submits that the money was received for the services provided to the complainant and no criminality can be attributed to the same. He submits that the petitioner has all the documents and proof in order to show that he performs such activities for his clients on a regular basis and only because the client is not satisfied cannot be a ground for putting criminal law in motion. 6.

The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, at the outset, submits that no coercive steps are being taken against the petitioner since he has already been admitted on pre-arrest bail by order dated 16.07.2025. He submits that all documents as being contended by the petitioner would be considered and an appropriate report would be filed expeditiously. 7.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, states that in the name of investigation, the petitioner is being harassed and is made to sit in the Police Station for the entire day. 8.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State assures that no undue harassment would be caused to the petitioner as long as he joins and cooperates with the investigation. 9.

Considering that the petitioner is not a resident of Delhi, the State is directed to conclude the investigation expeditiously and unless necessary the personal presence of the petitioner may not be called for.

Considering the above, no orders are required to be passed at this stage. The investigation is at a nascent stage and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
