O R D E R

% 28.02.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 7 are known to each other. A quarrel took place between the petitioners on the one hand and respondent nos. 2 to 7 on the other, which had led to registration of the present FIR no. 201/2015 under Sections 323/324/308/34 IPC at Police Station Ranjit Nagar, on the complaint of respondent no. 2. It is further submitted that on the complaint of petitioner no. 2, a cross FIR no. 202/2015 under Sections 323/324/308/34 IPC at Police Station Ranjit Nagar was also

registered at Police Station Ranjit Nagar against respondent nos. 2 to 7 herein. Petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 7 are having shops in the same market.

With the intervention of their common friends, petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 7 have settled their disputes involved in this FIR as well as in the cross FIR. It is further submitted that for quashing of the said cross FIR, a separate writ petition has been filed. Respondent nos. 2 to 7 are present in Court and admit having settled the matter with the petitioners. They submit that they have settled the matter with the petitioners of their own free will and without undue pressure, force or coercion. Respondent nos. 2 to 7 submit that present FIR may be quashed. Keeping in mind that petitioners and respondent nos.

2 to 7 are known to each other and the quarrel took place between them on some trivial matter, which had led to the registration of the cross FIRs, I am of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending in view of the settlement arrived at between them. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR no. 201/2015 under Sections 323/324/308/34 IPC at Police Station Ranjit Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Miscellaneous application

is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
