This is a petition filed under Section 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 6 months w.e.f. 05.10.2024. 4.
It is stated that the parties have led extensive evidence and hence the delay.

Issue notice.

pleadings qua the counter claims were concluded, the period of 12 months has not expired.

Ms Kalra, learned counsel for the petitioner disputes the same and states that the said factual matrix is incorrect and the period of 12 months got over in April, 2024 and thereafter there was an extension of 6 months by mutual consent.

Without getting into the said controversy and in view of no objection, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 6 months from today.

The period from 05.10.2024 till today stands regularized. 10.
The petition is disposed of accordingly.
