The Petitioner has applied for a passport on 23rd February, 2024, which is pending consideration. Since there is a criminal case against the Petitioner and his family members bearing FIR No. 86/2019, Police Station, Vasant Kunj (North) under Sections 323, 341, 386, 506 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, a No-Objection Certificate1 has been issued by the Court of the Metropolitan Magistrate-02 (JMFC-02), Patiala House Court on 18th April, 2024, in respect of the aforenoted FIR. 2.
The Petitioner has since submitted a copy of the NOC/Court's order 1 "NOC"

dated 18th April, 2024 to the Regional Passport Office, Respondent No. 2, however, the status of Petitioner's passport application as reflected on the Respondent No. 2's website indicates "please furnish copy of Court judgment".

In light of the foregoing, the Petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to Respondent No. 2 to issue him the passport for a period of 10 years as specified under the Passports Act, 1967. 4.
Ms. Nidhi Raman, counsel for Respondents, states that in light of the NOC, which has been annexed to the present petition, the Petitioner's application shall now be processed and for this purpose, the Petitioner needs to give an affidavit in terms of notification dated 25th August, 1993. 5.
In light of the statement made by Ms. Raman, it is directed that application shall now be processed in accordance with law. For this purpose, Petitioner is directed to meet the concerned officer at the Regional Passport Office, Delhi, on 12th November, 2024 at 11:00 AM. 6.
With the above directions, the present petition along with pending application, is disposed of.
