This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.150/2021 PS Dayalpur, originally registered under Sections 498A/304B/34 IPC. Subsequently, charge-sheet has been filed, dropping charges under Section 304B IPC.

A previous quashing petition, being Crl. M.C. 6837/2022, moved by the parties, had been dismissed by this Court, by order dated 16th December 2022, noting that offence included Section 304B IPC. 3.

Petitioner nos.1 to 4 and respondent no.2, complainant (brother of deceased) are present in the court and duly identified by the counsel. Respondent no.2 confirms having settled the disputes with petitioners and that he has no objection to quashing of the FIR. 4.

intervention of senior members of the community, this Court is of the opinion that there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No.150/2021 PS Dayalpur originally registered under Sections 498A/34 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
