O R D E R

% 17.05.2017 It has been stated on behalf of the petitioner that Rs.20 lakhs, for which amount the dispute between the petitioner and the informant was settled, has already been deposited with the Registrar General of this Court, as directed vide order dated 3rd March, 2017. The amount so deposited and been kept in the FDRs for a period of three months with automatic renewal.

Taking this fact into account as also the settlement between the informant and the petitioner, the anticipatory bail of the petitioner is confirmed.

In the event of arrest or surrender, the petitioner shall be released on bail on his furnishing a bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer. Learned counsel for the petitioner further states that he has no objection to the release of the aforesaid amount in favour of the complainant

but only at the time when the quashing of the FIR on the strength of the settlement is filed and the complainant expresses his no objection for the quashing of the FIR.

The petitioner assures this Court that efforts will be made for quashing of the FIR in a short while.

The Bail Application stands disposed of.
