This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 80/2021 registered at PS Mohan Garden, Delhi under Sections 498A/406 IPC on the basis of settlement between the parties dated 24th January 2024, arrived at with the facilitation of the Delhi Mediation Centre, Dwarka Courts, which is on record of this Court.

As per the settlement, parties state that they have settled their marital discord and will live in peace and harmony as a married couple. 3.

Petitioner and respondent no. 2 (complainant) are present in Court and are duly identified by IO and the respective counsels. Respondent no.2 confirms that she has joined the company of her husband after reconciling all their disputes and has no objection to quashing of the FIR. 4.

of conviction of the petitioner being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 80/2021 registered at PS Mohan Garden, Delhi under Sections 498A/406 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications are disposed of as infructuous.
