% 13.11.2017 The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No.467/1998, under Section 406 IPC registered at Police StationGreater Kailash-I, District South East, Delhi on the complaint of respondent No.2 and all the proceedings emanating therefrom including LOC and PO proceedings pursuant thereto on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

Mr. Desh Bandhu Sood, Power of Attorney Holder and father of the respondent No.2, Ms. Gauri Anand is present in Court today and is identified by the learned counsel. He states that the respondent No.2 has settled the matter with the petitioner with her own free will and choice without any threat, pressure and coercion and she does not wish to pursue the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. Today, Mr. Desh Bandhu Sood, Power of Attorney Holder and father of the respondent No.2, Ms. Gauri Anand, has received an amount of Rs.11,00,000/- vide Demand Draft No.253486 dated 02.11.2017 drawn on Punjab National Bank, Mukherjee Nagar, New Delhi from the petitioner against all claims. A photocopy of the same is placed on record as Annexure A.

Statements of the parties have been recorded separately. In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences voluntarily out of their own free will and without any coercion, pressure, and no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings. It would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. Consequently, FIR No.467/1998, under Section 406 IPC registered at Police Station-Greater Kailash-I, District South East, Delhi and all the proceedings emanating therefrom including LOC and PO proceedings pursuant thereto are hereby quashed.

The petition is disposed of along with pending applications. Copy of this order be given dasti under the signatures of Court Master.
