The Petitioner asserts that the Appellate Tribunal, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, adjudicates the appeals pertaining to the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957, the Delhi Development Authority Act, 1957 and the New Delhi Muncipal Corporation Act, 1994.1 However, the conferment of power for such adjudication are issued by means of notification under the relevant section of the aforenoted Acts. The Petitioner, who has filed an appeal under the NDMC, 1994, is aggrieved by the delay caused in adjudication of cases, owing to the lack of such a notification conferring powers on Sh. Abhilash Malhotra, DHJS, the presiding officer of the Appellate Tribunal, MCD till date. Accordingly, he has approached this court seeking a direction to the Respondent to issue the aforenoted notification.

instructions, states that the process of issuance of the notification is at an advance stage and will be issued at the earliest. 3.

Taking note of the above statement, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondent to issue the appropriate notification expeditiously, preferably within a period of three weeks from today. 4.

With the above direction, the present petition is disposed of, along with pending application.
