By way of present petition, the petitioner, who is the uncle of the deceased, alleges tardy and unfair investigation in the matter relating to the death of his niece. The FIR has been registered under Sections 108/85 of BNS, 2023.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during the inquest proceedings only the statement of the uncle has been recorded so far. It is the grievance of the petitioner that till date statements of even the family members of the deceased have not been recorded. 3.
Issue notice.

Learned ASC for the State accepts notice and on instructions from the IO, submits that though the IO has made efforts to contact the parents of the deceased, who live in Jharkhand, however, they have not cooperated. Learned counsel for the petitioner disputes the aforesaid submissions. 6.
Considering that the case pertains to the death of a deceased within two years of marriage, without delving into the respective contentions of the either of the parties or on the investigation, it is deemed apposite to direct that the investigation be transferred to the Crime Branch forthwith. 7.
