Cont.Cas(C) 188/2017 Present contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 31st May, 2016, passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in W.P.(C) No.4881/2016 whereby paragraphs 14 (xxviii) and 16 (xii) of the respondents' 'Revised Policy for grant of License to the Meat Shops' requiring submission of a No Objection Certificate from the Area Councillor for grant/renewal of license for meat shops were quashed/struck down. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that despite the aforesaid

order, respondents have issued letters dated 23rd June, 2016 and 01st February, 2017 directing the petitioners to submit a No Objection Certificate from the concerned Municipal Councillor.

Issue notice.

Ms. Mini Pushkarna, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. She has handed over copies of the Corrigendums dated 27th February, 2017 whereby the pre-condition of obtaining a No Objection Certificate from the concerned Municipal Councillor has been withdrawn. The said Corrigendums are taken on record.

Ms. Mini Pushkarna, learned counsel for respondents assures this Court that the applications filed by the petitioners shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks.

Cont.Cas(C) 189/2017 Present contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 07th December, 2016 passed in CS(OS) 154/2016 wherein the suit was decreed with the direction to respondent to pay Rs.27 lacs to the petitioner No.3 on or before 15th December, 2016. Learned counsel for petitioners states that respondent has not complied with the aforesaid order till date. He further states that in the order dated 07th December, 2016 it had been stipulated that if the aforesaid amount is not paid, then petitioner No.3 would be at liberty to file appropriate proceedings against the respondent for breach of the undertaking.

Issue notice.

Mr. Gaurav M. Liberhan, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondent. He prays for and is permitted to file a reply affidavit within a period of four weeks.

Rejoinder affidavit, if any, be filed before the next date of hearing. List the matter on 27th July, 2017.
