This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. 2.

The present petition under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India seeks the following prayers:- "(i) Initiate civil contempt proceedings against the contemnors/ respondents for willful disobedience of the order dated 24.01.2025 passed in W.P. (C) No.954/2025 and punish them in accordance with law and further direct the respondent No.1 to decide the appeal within two weeks, in the interest of justice.

(ii) Pass any other order(s)/relief(s), which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in favour of the petitioner and against the contemnor, in the interest of justice."

Having regard to the fact that the private parties (respondent Nos. 3 to 9] are not before the Court today, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the appeal would be listed before the District Collector on the date fixed i.e. 26.03.2025, and the District Collector will make an attempt to dispose of the appeal within a period of three months thereafter and in any event, within a period of five months thereafter."

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the appeal is listed today before the District Collector and the same will be disposed of within a period of four weeks.

In view of the above, no further directions are called for. 6.
