This writ petition has been filed against an order dated 26.10.2017 passed by the Disciplinary Authority of the respondent-Union Bank of India ["the Bank"], whereby the petitioner was dismissed from the service of the Bank. The said order was affirmed in appeal vide order dated 14.08.2018, and the review petition was also dismissed on 30.06.2023. 2.

In the writ petition, the petitioner has also made an alternative prayer for grant of sustenance allowance on compassionate grounds. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to make a representation to the Bank for grant of compassionate allowance. The representation, if made, will be considered by the Bank in accordance with law. It is made clear that this Court has not considered the petitioner's request on merits. 4.

The writ petition, alongwith the pending applications, is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as aforesaid.
