These petitions have been filed seeking quashing of FIRs being FIR No. 85 of 2023, under Sections 354/354A/323/506/34 of IPC, registered at P.S. Jagatpuri and FIR No.286/2023 dated 29.08.2023, under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC, registered at P.S. R.K. Puram, basis settlement dated 22nd January 2024, arrived at, between the parties, with the facilitation of the Delhi Mediation Centre, Patiala House Courts, which is on record of The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Petitioner no.1-3 and respondent no. 2 are present in Court and are duly identified by IO and their respective counsel. 3.

As per the settlement, a total amount of Rs.10 lakhs is to be paid to respondent no.2, which is being tendered today vide DD nos 305230 and 305231, both drawn on the Punjab National Bank, for Rs. 5 lakhs each. The same have been handed over to respondent no.2, who has duly received it in Court and states that she has no objection to quashing of the FIRs. 4.

The marriage of petitioner no.1 and respondent no. 2 resulted in a divorce by decree dated 14th May, 2024. No child was born out of wedlock. 5.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of these FIRs as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petitions are allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 85 of 2023 under Sections 354/354A/323/506/34 of IPC registered at P.S. Jagatpuri and FIR No.286/2023 dated 29.08.2023 under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC registered at P.S. R.K. Puram and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 7.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
