This is a petition filed under section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking quashing of FIR No. 0303/2023 registered at PS Bara Hindu Rao and consequential proceedings i.e. chargesheet filed under section 308/341/34 IPC.

The allegation in the FIR is that the petitioners assaulted the complainant i.e. respondent No. 2 which resulted in simple injury to the complainant. against the petitioners.

During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement on 05.09.2024, wherein the disputes have been settled by the parties herein.

The petitioners as well as the complainant are present in Court and are identified by Mr. Mohd. Ahmed Shamsher, Adv. and Mr. Muktadir Hasan, Adv. and SI Kavinder Singh, PS Bara Hindu Rao. 7.

Each petitioners voluntary state to deposit a sum of Rs. 7,500/- with the Police Welfare Fund within 4 weeks from today. For this purpose, the petitioners shall approach the Account Branch, Welfare Unit, Delhi Police Headquarters, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi.

Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of the present FIR and the chargesheet filed thereafter would bring peace and secure ends of justice. 9.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed, subject to payment of sum of Rs. 7,500/- by each petitioner within 4 weeks from today.

In case the proof of payment is not filed within 4 weeks from today, the Registry shall put up the file.

With these observations, the present petition is disposed of.
