This is a petition filed under section 482 of CrPC/528 of BNSS, 2023 seeking quashing of FIR No. 62/2024 under section 354A of IPC and section 10 of POCSO Act registered at PS Mandir Marg, New Delhi. 4.

The aforesaid FIR was registered on 29.05.2024 on the complaint made by the respondent No. 2 in which the allegations were made of inappropriate touching which is stated to be happened in April, 2016. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement, wherein the complainant/respondent No. 2 has stated that she does not wish to prosecute the complaint any further and was entering into the MoU without any threat, coercion, pressure or undue influence. 6.

The complainant/respondent No. 2 is present in Court through VC and is identified by Mr. Asawari Sodhi and SI Kusum, PS Mandir Marg. 7.

I am satisfied that the matter has been settled and the settlement is lawful. Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of the present FIR and the chargesheet filed thereafter would bring peace and secure ends of justice. 8.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are herebey quashed, subject to payment of cost of Rs. 50,000/- to Delhi High Court Bar Association.

In case the proof of payment is not filed within 4 weeks from today, the Registry shall put up the file.
