By the present petition, the petitioner prays for directions to the respondents to grant the Travelling Allowance (TA)/Dearness Allowance (DA) and Mileage Allowance (MA) to the petitioner, or for the petitioner to be provided with a Government vehicle for his daily commute between the Group Centre, Greater Noida to the Group Centre, Sonipat, as per Service Regulations. such allowances be paid to him with effect from the date of his attachment to the Group Centre, Sonipat, that is, from 18.06.2024. 4.
We are of the opinion that the present petition should be considered as a representation of the petitioner by the respondents and should be decided by the respondents by passing a speaking order thereon, within a period of eight weeks from today. The decision on the representation be communicated to the petitioner. 5.
In case the request of the petitioner is accepted, the arrears of the allowance should be paid to the petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter. In case the representation of the petitioner is rejected by the respondents, it shall be open to the petitioner to challenge the same in accordance with the law.

We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner and the same shall be decided by the respondents in accordance with the law and the Service Regulations.
