% 25.10.2017 Smt. Prema Devi, Respondent no.2 is present in Court alongwith her counsel and has been identified by ASI Narender, Police Station Mangol Puri. She says that she has settled the matter with the petitioners before the Mediation Centre, Rohini Courts on 22nd January, 2015. She further submits that Settlement/ Agreement has been signed by her late husband Chander Bhan, pursuant to the authority letter signed by her in favour of her husband. The said authority letter is in form of an affidavit and has been placed on record at page 29. Respondent no.2 and petitioners were neighbours at the relevant time.

Respondent no.2 says that in view of the settlement arrived at with the petitioners before the Mediation Centre, she is not willing to pursue criminal proceedings against the petitioners and she has no objection if the FIR No.1315/1998 under Sections 328/342/380/506/34 IPC registered at PS

Manogl Puri may be quashed.

Keeping in mind that the petitioners and respondent no.2 have already settled their disputes before the Mediation Centre and that respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, in the interest of justice, FIR No.1315/1998 under Sections 328/342/380/506/34 IPC registered at PS Manogl Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.
