O R D E R

By an award dated 27.11.2014, the learned Presiding Officer, MACT, has awarded a sum of Rs.23,24,000/- with interest in favour of the respondents/claimants no.1 to 5.

The Award has been challenged in this appeal by the insurer. It is pointed out that by order dated 23.02.2015, this court directed the appellant to deposit 70% of the awarded amount with up to date interest, which has been deposited by the appellant/insurer. The amount so deposited has been released or kept in FDR in terms of Award.

Now, it has been amicably settled that the appellant shall pay further a sum of Rs.5,90,000/- in full and final settlement of all the claims of the

respondent no.1 to 5 with the DHCLSC within 30 days from today failing which interest @ 7.5% per annum shall be payable. 4.

The settled amount shall be apportioned amongst the legal heirs of the deceased i.e. respondents No.1 to 5 as per the Award. 5.

The share of minor respondents no. 2 and 5 shall be kept in FDR for period till they attain the age of majority; and 50% of the share of respondent No.1, 3 and 4 shall be kept in the FDR for a period of three years.

Statutory amount with accrued interest thereon shall be refunded to the appellant.

Accordingly, the appeal is disposed of.

Copy of the order be given dasti under the signature of the Court Master.
