O R D E R

% 04.07.2018 It is submitted that a quarrel took place between petitioners and respondent no.2 on 09.09.2017 which led to the registration of the present FIR No.173/2017 under Section 308/34 IPC registered at police station Connaught Place.

Petitioners and respondent no.2 have now settled their disputes amicably in terms of the petitioners paying `1 lac to respondent no.2. Respondent no. 2 says that he has no objection in case FIR No.173/2017 under Section 308/34 IPC registered at police station Connaught Place be quashed.

Respondent no.2 has appeared along with the counsel and has been identified by ASI Banwari Lal of police station Connaught

Place. Respondent no.2 submits that he has settled the matter with the petitioners of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and says that he has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J JULY 04, 2018 ab
