It is mutually agreed to reduce the impugned award amount by Rs.1,50,000/-.

75% of the award amount was deposited with Registrar General. Today, as per the settlement arrived at a cheque of Rs. 8,49,021/- towards the deficient settlement amount has been handed over by the insurance company. The said cheque shall be handed over to DHCLCS to be released to the injured Jagdish Chand on due verification. Should, Jagdish Chand be not in a position to appear before the Secretary, DHCLSC, the same may be released through authorised representative, to the satisfaction of the Secretary, DHCLSC. The amounts lying deposited with the Registrar General be also released in terms of the award. The appeal stands settled accordingly.
