A civil suit was pending before learned Single Judge of this Court on Original Side and when an application, moved under Order XII Rule 6 CPC, was taken up by the learned Single Judge, while passing a preliminary decree, it also observed that the oral plea of Will raised by counsel for defendants No.1 to 4 (contemnors herein) was misleading and was clearly intended at interfering with the administration of justice. 2.
It was in the abovesaid backdrop that there was a direction to register a criminal contempt against them and this is how the present petition has been received by this Court.

When the petition was taken up on 24.03.2025, both the parties made request that the matter be referred to mediation as they were exploring possibility of amicable settlement.

Both the sides have already taken requisite action in terms of such amicable settlement and are left with no grievance against each other. 6.
Keeping in mind the abovesaid amicable settlement and also the entire factual matrix, we do not find any real purpose in continuing with the present contempt petition and, therefore, we direct closure of contempt proceedings.
