This petition has been filed assailing order dated 7th August 2024, passed by the ASJ (West), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi. An appeal had been preferred against order on sentence dated 7th May 2024 before the ASJ in proceedings under Section 138 NI Act. An application had been filed against direction for deposit of 20% of the fine amount during the pendency of appeal and seeking suspension of sentence. 2.

Counsel for petitioner contends that petitioner has been wrongfully implicated and convicted in these proceedings as the amount had been paid only as a security cheque with signatures, and he is not a condition to The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Without going into and expressing any view on the merits of the matter, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned order. 4.

Counsel for petitioner states that they are willing to deposit Rs. 3 lakhs instead.

Taking this submission in consideration, petitioner is permitted to deposit Rs. 3 lakhs instead of 20% of the fine amount 6.
