This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. 2.

The petitioners vide the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seek quashing of cross-FIRs i.e., FIR No.351/2015 dated 20.04.2015 registered under Sections 498A/ 323 & FIR The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

No. 359/2018 dated 15.11.2018 registered under Sections 465/466/471 IPC at P.S. Najafgarh, Delhi and all proceedings emanating therefrom in view of the Settlement Deed dated 27.09.2025 arrived at between the parties. 3.

The brief facts of the case are that a marriage between Ms. Rina Dhaka (Petitioner in CRL.M.C. 7317/2025) and Mr. Puneet Paul (Petitioner inCRL.M.C. 7329/2025 ) was solemnized on 28.11.2012 according to Hindu rites and ceremonies at Noida, Uttar Pradesh. No child was born out of the present wedlock.

This petition is accompanied by the Settlement Deed dated 27.09.2025 and is also supported by affidavits of both the petitioners alongwith proofs of their respective I.Ds.

Both the petitioners are present in Court and have been identified by the IO. Their credentials have been verified by this Court. 6.

Issue Notice.

Learned APP accepts notice. He confirms that he has no objection to the quashing of the aforesaid FIRs.

Mr. Puneet Paul, (Petitioner inCRL.M.C. 7329/2025) confirms that they have been granted divorce by Decree of Divorce dated 31.05.2019 in HMA No. 899/2017 on the ground of cruelty in the favour of Mr. Puneet Paul.

In terms of the settlement deed dated 27.09.2025,Mr. Punit Paul has handed over a demand draft bearing No. 1786 for a sum of Rs 3,00,000/- dated on 06.10.2025drawn on Axis Bank, Roshanpura Branch, Najafgarh, Delhi, towards full and final settlement of all the claims of Ms. Rina Dhaka including alimony, maintenance (present, past and future), stridhan etc. She states that she has no objection to the quashing of the present FIRs. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties and following the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Jitendra Raghuvanshi &Ors. Vs. BabitaRaguvanshi&Anr (2013) 4 SCC 58, Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab &Anr. (2012) 10 SCC 303 and Narinder Singh &Ors. vs. State of Punjab &Anr. (2014) 6 SCC 466, this Court is of the opinion that continuation of the aforesaid FIR will be an exercise in futility. 11.

Accordingly, the petition are allowed and FIR No.351/2015 dated 20.04.2015 registered under Sections 498A/323 & FIR NO. 359/2018 dated 15.11.2018 registered under Sections 465/466/471 IPC at P.S. Najafgarh , Delhi and all proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. 12.

The petitions stand disposed of accordingly.
