These writ petitions have been preferred on behalf of the Petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction to Respondent No.2 for issuing them appointment-cum-posting orders to the post of PGT (Commerce) pursuant to a notification issued by NESTS for filling up 4062 vacancies of teaching and non-teaching posts, out of which 140 posts were advertised for the post of PGT (Commerce) with which these writ petitions are concerned.
