The petitioner, who is a former Mayor of East Delhi Municipal Corporation, claims to have made certain complaints against respondent No. 4- a Deputy Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi ["MCD"] to respondent No. 1 - Central Vigilance Commission ["CVC"] and respondent No. 3-Chief Vigilance Officer ["CVO"] of MCD. 2.

Ms. Tatini Basu, learned Standing Counsel for CVC, states that the complaint has been forwarded to the CVO, MCD with a direction to enquire into the matter, and report to the CVC, if any vigilance angle is found.

would be satisfied with a direction that this writ petition be treated as a representation before the CVO, and necessary action be taken by the CVO, MCD.

Mr. Goel refers me to an order dated 22.08.2024, passed by a coordinate Bench, in another petition filed by the petitioner against the same officer. By the said order dated 22.08.2024, the contention of the CVC was noted that the complaint was under consideration. The petition was disposed of with a direction that respondents would inform the outcome of their enquiry to the petitioner.

Mr. Manu Chaturvedi, learned Standing Counsel for MCD, states that as recorded in the order dated 22.08.2024, in the present case also, MCD has already taken action with regard to unauthorised construction on the property referred to in the petitioner's complaint and further action is contemplated. He submits that the reference from the CVC will be dealt with in accordance with law, and the petitioner will be informed of the outcome of his complaint within a period of eight weeks from today. 6.

As no further orders are sought in this writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the above statement.
