O R D E R

% 02.03.2016 1.

This petition by way of public interest litigation has been filed seeking a direction to respondents No.1 and 2 to withdraw the certificate of public exhibition granted to the film 'Aligarh' produced by respondent No.3 or in the alternative to direct the respondents to change the title of the said film.

2.

The petitioner who is stated to be a law graduate from Aligarh Muslim University pleads that the image of Aligarh Muslim University and Aligarh city has been adversely affected by the film in question and that the promotional trailer and the review of the film in social networking websites and print media have been lowering the prestige of Aligarh City and the University.

3.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, it appears to us that the concern underlying the petition is the individual view of the W.P.(C) 1842/2016

petitioner and absolutely no case is made out to show any element of public interest is involved.

4.

Hence, we are not inclined to entertain the petition and the same is accordingly dismissed.
