The present petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging inaction on the part of the respondent no.1/District Magistrate, South and the respondent no.2/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM). 2.

It is submitted that the respondent no.2/SDM has been remiss in filing its report within 21 days from the date of receipt of the complaint/ application filed by the petitioner as mandated under Rule 22(3) of the Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009. 3.

It is further submitted that the delay in disposal of the petitioner's complaint by the respondent no.1/District Magistrate is causing immense prejudice to the petitioner, who is a senior citizen and is suffering hardships on account of harassment at the hands of her children. 4.

Learned counsel for the respondent nos.1 and 2 submits that the concerned authorities shall urgently examine the grievance of the petitioner and an endeavour shall be made to dispose of the petitioner's complaint as expeditiously as possible and in any event within a period of four weeks The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Needless to say, the authorities shall take note of the dire condition of the petitioner, a senior citizen, as highlighted in the petition. 6.
