% 17.07.2018 The petitioner submits that despite this Court's direction for an expeditious trial, out of 40 witnesses only four witnesses have been examined in the past three months. The petitioner's grievance is the slow pace of the trial; he is behind bars since 10.06.2015 and perceives no end of the trial in the near future.
The learned counsel for the State submits that from the petitioner about 4 kg. of the stolen silver was found. The case is next listed before the learned Trial Court on 28.08.2018. She assures the Court that every endeavour shall be made for the expeditious recording of the evidence. In view of the above, the learned counsel for the petitioner does not press this application at this stage with liberty to approach the Court in changed circumstance(s).
The petition, alongwith pending application, is dismissed as withdrawn.
Liberty granted.
