The present writ petition has been filed seeking restoration of electricity supply at property bearing House No.613/35, Ground Floor, Village Chowkri Mubarakabad, Street No. 38, Onkar Tri Nagar, Delhi110035. It is stated that on 3rd October, 2025, respondent no.1 disconnected W.P.(C) 16064/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. the electricity supply at the aforesaid property, without any show-cause notice.

Mr. Srivastava, counsel appearing on behalf of respondent no.1 submits that the electricity connection on the ground floor of the property in question was disconnected as the said property was booked by the respondent no.2/MCD.

Attention of the Court has been drawn to the judgment dated 13th November, 2025 passed in W.P.(C) 7618/2023 titled as "BSES Yamuna Power Limited v. Bhagwanti & Anr." and other connected petitions, wherein it has been observed that there is no impediment to the electricity companies to grant or continue with electricity connection in a premises, where such premises are booked for unauthorised construction. However, as and when MCD takes any coercive action against such properties, the MCD shall duly intimate the electricity companies in this regard. 4.

In light of the aforesaid judgment a direction is issued to respondent no.1 to restore the electricity connection at the aforesaid property. 5.

However, it is made clear that respondent no.1 shall be free to disconnect the electricity connection, as and when such request or direction is given by respondent no.2/ MCD, at the time of taking action against the unauthorised construction in the properties in question. 6.

The present writ petition is disposed of in terms of the aforesaid directions.
