The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was directed to pay a higher maintenance amount in a proceeding initiated by the respondent under provisions of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 ('DV Act').

He submits that, in such circumstances, the present petition challenging the direction to pay maintenance of ₹20,000/- per month has been rendered infructuous since the order passed in the proceedings under DV Act has attained finality. 3.

The petition is therefore disposed of.
