The petitioners have approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution, in respect of alleged unauthorized and illegal encroachment over a public road, footpath and path in the locality of Govind Puri ["subject area"].

Nos. 1 and 2-Municipal Corporation of Delhi ["MCD"], who appears on advance notice, contests the locus of the petitioners, he states, upon advance instructions, that the illegal and temporary encroachment has been found in the subject area, and action has been taken from time to time. He submits that further action is scheduled to be taken tomorrow, i.e. 19.11.2024, and that necessary vigil, in coordination with the concerned Station House Officer and Public Works Department, will be maintained thereafter.

In view of the above submissions on behalf of MCD, Mr. Karandeep Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners, does not seek any further orders in this writ petition.

The petition is disposed of in view of the aforesaid.
