% 21.07.2016 The petitioner is stated to be a squatter at Lajpat Nagar. His submission is that it was in fact the father of the petitioner who was running his livelihood from the aforenoted site at Lal Sahai Market since 1975 to 2009.

A status report has been filed by the respondent. In this status report, it has been stated that the petitioner is unauthorizedly occupying the government land and he has no authority or sanction under law to occupy the aforenoted site; he is not an eligible tehbazari holder of the Central Zone.

Copy of this report has been furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has protection under Section 3 (3) of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014.

In this case, the SDMC has not constituted the Town Vending Committee (TVC). However as and when the TVC is constituted, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the TVC. No further orders are called for on this petition. It is disposed of.
