and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned from Police Station Subhash Place, Delhi. 6.

Brief facts of the case are that the marriage between brother-in-law (Jija) of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 was solemnized at New Delhi on 05.03.2018, in accordance with Hindu rites and customs. No child was born out of the said wedlock. It is stated that due to indifferent attitudes and temperamental differences, disputes and issues had arisen between them. Upon a complaint filed by respondent no. 2, the present FIR had been registered against the petitioners under the relevant sections. 7.

It is further stated that with intervention of the family members, friends and relatives, the parties have now amicably settled their dispute vide Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated 22.01.2025, arrived at between them.

8.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that she has entered into compromise out of her own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 9.

This Court notes that the present FIR is the outcome of a matrimonial dispute between brother-in-law (Jija) of petitioner no.1 and respondent no. 2, qua which an FIR No. 1037/2024 was also registered for commission of offence punishable under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC. However, on the basis of the settlement, the said FIR has been quashed today by this Court, in W.P. (CRL) No.3446/2025.
