By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR bearing no. 637/2024, registered at Police Station Ranhola, Delhi for commission of offence punishable under Sections 420/467/448/468/471/34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC'). 2.

The petitioner and respondent no. 2 are present before this Court. They have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO) from Police Station Ranhola, Delhi. 3.

Briefly stated, the facts of the present case are that the petitioner had purchased a property bearing Plot no. 5 admeasuring 200 sq. yds. (167 sq. mtrs.), forming part of Khasra No. 10/18, situated in the Revenue Estate of The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Village Hastsal, Delhi, within the abadi area known as Vikas Nagar, RBlock, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi, from Shri Kadam Singh S/o Late Shri Sardar Singh, R/o 123, Village Ujwa, Najafgarh, New Delhi-110073, through GPA, Agreement to Sell, Possession Letter, Affidavit, Receipt, and Will, all dated 07.08.2022. It is submitted that the executant, Shri Kadam Singh had expired in the year 2023. Subsequently, in December 2024, respondent No. 2 had lodged a complaint before Police Station Ranhola asserting ownership over the said property.

It is stated that both the parties have amicably settled the present matter vide Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated 06.09.2025, entered between them.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2, who has been identified by the concerned IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by respondent no. 2 that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties. Respondent no. 2 further states that he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 6.

In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 7.

Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 637/2024, registered at Police Station Ranhola, Delhi for commission of offence punishable under Sections 420/467/448/468/471/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to payment of costs of Rs.20,000/, to be deposited with Delhi High Court Bar Clerk's Association, within a period of two weeks from date under intimation to the Registry. 8.

In view of the above, the present petition stands disposed of. 9.
