By way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking quashing of FIR bearing no. 361/2022, registered at Police Station Mohan Garden, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 354A/341/506 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC').

Issue notice. Mr. Sanjeev Sabharwal, the learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State.

The petitioner and respondent no. 2 are present before this Court in person. They have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO) from Police Station Mohan Garden, Delhi. 4.

Briefly stated, the respondent no. 2 had lodged a complaint with P.S. Mohan Garden, pursuant to which, the present FIR was registered against The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

the petitioner under the relevant sections. Upon completing the investigation, a chargesheet came to be filed before the concerned Court. However, it is stated that during the pendency of the present matter, both the parties have amicably settled all their disputes vide Settlement Agreement date 19.08.2025.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no.2, who has been identified by the concerned IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by respondent no. 2 that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and therefore, he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed.

In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, without any coercion and no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 7.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 361/2022, registered at Police Station Mohan Garden, Delhi for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 354A/341/506 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to petitioner depositing a sum of Rs.10,000/- with the Delhi High Court Advocates Welfare Trust, within a period of seven days from date.
