This is a petition filed under section 482 Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking quashing of FIR No. 0052/2019, dated 03.03.2019, registered at PS Vasant Kunj North, New Delhi filed under sections 279/337 IPC, 1860 and consequential proceedings emanating therefrom. 2.
Briefly stating the facts are that the car of the petitioner met with an accident with the motorcycle of respondent No. 2, resulting in a fracture on the left leg of respondent No. 2. Hence the FIR No. 0052/2019 was registered.
3.

no. 2 is being paid Rs 35,000/- by way of Demand Draft, dated 01.10.2024 bearing no. 501921 drawn on ICICI Bank, Connaught Place, New Delhi. 4.
I am satisfied that the settlement is valid.
5.
The petitioner i.e. Smt. Ravinder Bawa is present in Court and is identified by her counsel Mr. Karan Bidhuri, Adv. Respondent No. 2 i.e. Sh Kuldeep Kumar is also present in Court and is identified by SI Sandeep Yadav, PS Vasant Kunj.
6.
The parties state that they have entered into the aforesaid settlement out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion.
7.
Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure the ends of justice. This court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further. It is a fit case for quashing. In this view of the matter, there is no reason to continue the proceedings 8.
For the reasons noted above, FIR No. 0052/2019, dated 03.03.2019, registered at PS Vasant Kunj North, New Delhi filed under sections 279/337 IPC, 1860 and consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.
9.
The petition is disposed of accordingly.
