This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 334/2020 registered at PS Prasad Nagar, Delhi under Sections 279/337 Indian Penal Code 1860 on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties before Judge (MACT)-01, Central District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 23rd May 2022, which is on record of this Court. Chargesheet was also filed under Sections 279/337 IPC and Sections 3/181/146/196/5/180 of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988.

As per the settlement, Rs. 40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand Only). has been paid to respondent no.2/complainant towards full and final settlement, which is verified by her who appears through VC. 3.

Petitioner is present in Court and is duly identified by IO and the counsel.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 334/2020 registered at PS Prasad Nagar, Delhi under Sections 279/337 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
