W.P.(CRL) 767/2017 Issue notice. Notice is accepted on behalf of the State. He has tendered in court the status report, which is taken on record. The petitioner has preferred this petition to seek a direction to the State to provide protection to him and his family members from respondent nos.2 to 11. It appears that there are several disputes which have arisen between the petitioner and his

family members on the one hand and respondent nos.2 to 11 on the other hand. Mr. Kundu states that there are cases and cross cases filed by the parties against each other.

It goes without saying that it is the obligation of the State to ensure maintenance of law and order and peace in the area. Since the parties are in dispute, the SHO PS Khajuri Khas is directed to ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area and the parties did not take law into their own hands.

Mr. Kundu points out that kalandhara has been drawn under Section 107/150 Cr PC against both the parties on 09.03.2017. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the SHO, PS Khajuri Khas to ensure that there is breach of peace in the area and law and order is maintained, and neither the petitioner and his family members nor respondent nos. 2 to 11 take law into their own hands. The SHO shall counsel all the concerned parties in this regard and issue appropriate warning to them.
