The present Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking issuance of a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the son of the petitioner, namely, Mr. Shubham Kumar, aged about 19 years. 2.

Pursuant to the notice issued by this Court, various Status Reports, including one dated 24.02.2026, have been filed by the respondents, indicating the efforts that have been made to trace out the missing boy. Unfortunately, his whereabouts have not been traced till now.

trace the whereabouts of the missing boy, and to investigate any lead that may be provided by the petitioner, we dispose of this petition with a further direction that the respondents shall file the regular Status Reports before the concerned Magistrate on such efforts made, on a bi-monthly basis.
