The Petitioner is a tenant of the property bearing No. E-16, Third Floor, Jangpura Extension, New Delhi - 110014, under a Lease Deed dated 4th July 2024, for a period of eleven months. Upon expiry of the initial lease term, a renewed lease agreement was executed on 8th June 2025, commencing from 10th June 2025 and valid until 9th May 2026. 2.

The record reveals that a dispute has arisen between the Petitioner and the landlady, which prompted the Petitioner to submit a representation dated 11th October, 2025, to the Station House Officer (SHO) and other senior police officers, wherein the Petitioner has expressed his apprehensions. Since, the Petitioner has not made the landlady a party to the present proceedings, this Court, therefore, cannot form any opinion on the merits of the allegations made in the petition. Mr. Kirti Uppal, Senior Counsel for the Petitioner, has confined his prayer to a direction to the State to render assistance in accordance with law in the event that the Petitioner makes any call to the local police station upon receiving any threat. 4.

Mr. Yasir Rauf Ansari, ASC for the State, submits that the State is always duty-bound to act upon any complaint in accordance with law. He further submits that he shall provide the Petitioner with the contact details of the beat constable, so that the Petitioner may directly contact the beat constable in the event of any emergent situation. 5.

In view of the above statement, no further directions are needed. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of along with pending applications.
